Diesis Network

Diesis Network supports the development of the social economy, social entrepreneurship and social innovation worldwide through the implementation of knowledge-based activities, such as training, project design, consultancy and advisory services, technical assistance and research. Diesis is one of the widest EU networks specialised in supporting social economy and social enterprise development covering 29 countries through major national federations and national support networks associating more than 90,000 organisations and 1.2 million workers. Diesis is quoted by the European Parliament as a good practice example of fostering the institutional and social visibility of the social economy. Diesis Network works in partnership with European thematic networks and platforms such as ETUC, REVES, Social Economy Europe and EMES. It is also a member of CECOP, ESSFI and Platform Cooperativism Consortium (PCC). Diesis also joined the recently created UNTFSSE, the United Nations Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy. Moreover, Diesis provides expertise to the ESF Social Economy Thematic Network, which assists Member States on the transnational aspects of the ESF. Diesis Network takes part in the European Migration Forum, organised by the European Commission and the European Economic and Social Committee, a platform for dialogue between civil society and the European institutions on issues relating to migration, asylum and the integration of third-country nationals.

YCRH - Young Canadians Roundtable on Health

The Young Canadians Roundtable on Health (YCRH) was created in 2013 in response to the interest generated by the report Reaching for the Top: A Report by the Advisor on Healthy Children & Youth. MISSION To close the gap that exists between youth and policy makers regarding youth health and to be the collaborating organization that represents diverse Canadian youth. VISION A world where youth can share and discuss concerns about their health and wellbeing and contribute to the development of initiatives that influence their community. VALUES: Include and respect diverse Canadian youth voices through equity, inclusion and accessibility Advocate, engage and consult with Canadian youth Foster national partnership and collaboration with Canadian youth organizations OBJECTIVES: Be Canada's leader in youth engagement and education pertaining to child and youth health. Lead youth in creating independent initiatives and policy briefs in the areas of mental, physical and emotional wellbeing as well as broader societal and environmental factors. Create opportunities to support and educate Canadian youth with the goal of improved quality of health in youth across the country. Foster new partnerships with individuals and organizations involved in youth health issues. Generate national awareness of youth health initiatives. Collaborate with partners to advance equity and inclusion in child and youth-related research and programs.

Healthy Start Coalition of Miami-Dade

The Healthy Start Coalition of Miami-Dade, Inc. was incorporated on April 1, 2001 and serves as a prenatal and infant care coalition. The Healthy Start Coalition of Miami-Dade is responsible for the establishment and oversight of the Miami-Dade Healthy Start system, which includes directing funds for continuous care coordination to pregnant women and children birth to age three, evaluating services, and quality improvement and assurance responsibilities. Primary goals are 1. to reduce infant mortality 2. reduce the number of low birth weight and pre-term birth 3. improve maternal and child health developmental outcomes. The Healthy Start Coalition of Miami-Dade current membership consists of 100 maternal, infant and child health community stakeholders including consumers of maternal and child health services, migrant and community health centers, local hospitals, birthing centers and other providers of maternal child health services, local medical societies, local health planning organizations; local maternal and infant health advocacy interest groups; county and municipal governments; social service organizations; local education communities; and community organizations that represent or serve the target population.

Decypher Interpreting & Translation

Decypher provides interpreting and translation services in Hamilton and across the Waikato. Decypher is a service of the Hamilton Multicultural Services Trust which is a key organisation supporting the successful settlement of migrants and former refugees.
