The 4-H Center for Youth Development woks to ensure that youth across the state enrolled in our 4-H programs can have the opportunity to grow as a person and strengthen their skills of leadership, citizenship, and service. We offer multiple project opportunities, events, trips, and camps that allow youth to connect with one another and develop life long relationships. 4-H is part of University of Missouri Extension and is publicly supported by county, state and federal governments. Private resources, both human and financial.

Work Training Center, Inc. was founded in 1960 to provide job and life skills support for adults with developmental disabilities. While our mission remains the same, the jobs we provide have us grow, from training four clients in a small workshop environment, to a $12 million corporation training 400 actively engaged client employees, and supported by 250 staff employees. Our six commercial divisions, which operate throughout Butte County, provide wood and soft goods manufacturing, light assembly and mailing services, recycling, janitorial, and landscape services. We grow much of our landscape stock on-site and offer them for sale in our nursery. Additionally, we offer retail experience in our two retail gift stores. Our own buses travel over 2,000 miles per day transporting our clients to their work. Certified in clinical and occupational social work, our staff continue to provide life skills support to over 300 clients in the form of group recreation therapy, independent living programs, and daytime respite care. Work Training Center is actively seeking highly qualified people to work alongside us.

Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan

The Boys & Girls Club strengthens the community in providing a safe, positive, constructive place for youth. Serving ages 5K-18 years of age, the Club offers a wide variety of educational, recreational and social programs and gives youth the opportunities for personal growth and achievement. During the school year, the Club serves children and youth at 9 locations including: 5th Street, Lee Elementary, Theodore Roosevelt Elementary, Marlatt Elementary, Woodrow Wilson Elementary (a.m. only), Anthony & Eisenhower middle schools, and Central Elementary (Wamgeo). "The Club,"​ a teen-specific program, serves youth at Anthony & Eisenhower middle schools after school, and teens up to 18 years old on Friday nights until 10:00pm at the Fifth Street site. The Annual Membership fee is $30 ($20 for teens) and includes after-school We are always trying to connect with our Club Alumni.
